Pelican 5.0
Pelican Navigation, and Scout reports from road authorities
More classic cars supported
J1850 protocol support
Pelican can now talk to more 1996 to 2008-era GM, Ford, and Chrysler cars.
Auto-detect
A new fall-back mode connects to more ISO 9141-2 and ISO 14230 (K-line) cars. It works well for some older models too, like the Peugeot 107.
More languages
Pelican is now available in Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Greek, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Swedish, and Urdu.
Bug fixes
- Fixed pinned quick destinations (Home, Work) not appearing in suggestions when searching from far away.
- Fixed various crashes while Pelican ran in the background.
- Fixed Map and widget themes to match your CarPlay Appearance settings.
- Pelican now reconnects automatically when an OBD scanner drops mid-drive instead of staying disconnected.
Pelican+ benefits
NewOffline maps
Download the areas you drive so navigation keeps working even without a connection.
The Danger Zone
Knowing where you need to stop is key to tackling range anxiety. The Danger Zone shows how far your car can go and warns you as your destination slips toward the edge of your range.
The Fog
See everywhere you've been at a glance. The Fog covers the world in a layer of clouds that gets erased as you drive.
