Hey there!
Jeff here. I'm glad you found Pelican, and I hope you enjoy driving with it as much as I've enjoyed making it.
I've been making software for over 25 years, during which I launched Google Maps for iOS, was Facebook's 3rd iOS engineer, and fell down the rabbit hole of SAE automotive standards. That love of maps, craft, and cars is why I went full-time on Pelican in 2024.
Pelican is designed to be a thoughtful tool that keeps you focused on the road, while quietly building a private, detailed record of your past. You're also joining a community of drivers that are working together to improve OpenStreetMap and alert drivers to road conditions around them, and we're happy to welcome you to the crew.
To many miles ahead,
Jeff
