About the Land Rover Defender
The original Land Rover Defender ended production in Solihull, England, after 67 years of the 4x4 being made. Land Rover then sold a new generation of the Defender. Apple lists the new Defender for the 2020 model year and later.12

Yes. Apple lists the Defender as compatible with CarPlay for the 2020 through 2025 model years. Car and Driver describes the 2022 Defender as follows. It has a 10-inch touchscreen with Land Rover’s Pivi Pro interface, and an 11.4-inch display is optional. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The system can receive over-the-air software updates. The sources used for this article don’t state whether the connection is wired or wireless for each model year. Confirm this with Land Rover.23
