About 212
212 is a Chinese off-road vehicle brand of Beijing Automobile Works. Its name comes from the BJ212, a four-wheel-drive vehicle developed in 1965 for military and utility use.12
The 212 name became a separate marque in 2024. Its first new model, the T01, retained visual references to the earlier vehicle while introducing a new platform, modern cabin and automatic transmission. A pickup derivative was displayed later that year.12
