About Citroen

Citroen is a French car marque founded by Andre Citroen in 1919. Its first production car was the Type A, followed by the smaller Type C in 1922.1

The company’s engineering history includes the front-wheel-drive Traction Avant, the 2CV and the hydropneumatic suspension of the DS. The GS brought that suspension system to a smaller family car, and the CX continued the aerodynamic design of Citroen’s larger cars.1234

Commercial vehicles are another part of its history. The C15 became a major product of the Vigo plant, while the Berlingo combined a dedicated van design with passenger and leisure uses.5
