About McLaren

McLaren Automotive is a British sports-car manufacturer based in Woking, England. Its name comes from the racing team Bruce McLaren established in 1963, which achieved its first Formula One victory in 1968.12

The McLaren F1 appeared in 1992 with a carbon-fiber monocoque, a naturally aspirated V12 and a central driving position. A racing derivative, the F1 GTR, won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995.3

The modern road-car company launched in 2010, followed by the 12C in 2011. Its subsequent models include the P1 hybrid hypercar, Artura hybrid sports car and the 750S.42
