About Dacia
Dacia is a Romanian car marque whose first vehicle, the Dacia 1100, entered assembly in 1968. The Renault-based 1300 followed in 1969 and developed into a family of sedans, estates, coupes and commercial vehicles.1
Renault acquired Dacia in 1999. The Logan, introduced in 2004, expanded the company’s international market, followed by models including the Sandero and Duster. Production also expanded to Morocco.1
The Spring introduced battery-electric propulsion to the range. Dacia reached ten million vehicles produced in 2022, and the Sandero led European new-car sales in 2024.12
