About SsangYong
SsangYong is a South Korean vehicle manufacturer now known as KG Mobility, or KGM. Its roots date to 1954, and its business developed around utility vehicles, SUVs and pickups.12
The company’s model families include Korando, Musso and Rexton. It expanded into compact SUVs with the Tivoli in 2015, followed by the Torres in 2022.13
KG Group acquired the business in 2022, and the company adopted the KG Mobility name in March 2023. The new name continues the manufacturer’s SUV and pickup operations.23
