About Honda
Honda is a Japanese vehicle and engine manufacturer founded in 1948. It first became known for motorcycles and entered automobile production in 1963 with the T360 mini truck.1
The Civic arrived in 1972 and the Accord in 1976. Honda began manufacturing Accords in Ohio in 1982, establishing its US automobile-production business.12
Its later vehicles include the CR-V SUV, introduced in 1995, and the Insight hybrid of 1999. The Insight combined a petrol engine with electric motor assistance and a lightweight two-seat body.34
