About Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo is an Italian car brand that began in Milan in 1910 as ALFA. Nicola Romeo took control in 1915, and the company subsequently adopted the Alfa Romeo name.1

Its road cars include the Giulietta Sprint, introduced in 1954, the Giulia sedan of 1962 and the 33 Stradale of 1967. The Giulietta helped expand production beyond the company’s earlier, more expensive cars.123

Motorsport has been part of the company since its early years. Alfa Romeo won the first two Formula One drivers’ championships, and its Autodelta operation developed racing cars including the Giulia GTA and Tipo 33.1

The Tonale, revealed in 2022, extended Alfa Romeo’s SUV range and introduced a plug-in hybrid powertrain to the brand.4
