About Peugeot
Peugeot is a French vehicle brand whose family manufacturing business began in 1810. Armand Peugeot presented a steam-powered tricycle in 1889, followed by a gasoline-powered quadricycle in 1890.1
The company’s engineering history includes the retractable-roof Eclipse, the electric VLV and the front-wheel-drive 204. Its model names adopted a central zero with the 201 of 1929.1
Peugeot has competed in road racing, rallying and endurance events, including Indianapolis 500 victories in 1913, 1916 and 1919. Its passenger-car range includes hatchbacks, estates and SUVs, and the brand became part of Stellantis in 2021.123
