About Kenworth

Kenworth is an American commercial-truck manufacturer established in Seattle in 1923 by Harry Kent and Edgar Worthington. Its name combines parts of their surnames. The company builds medium- and heavy-duty trucks and has belonged to PACCAR since 1945.12

Kenworth’s engineering milestones include factory-installed diesel power in 1933 and the aerodynamic T600 of 1985. Later families include the highway-focused T680 and vocational T880, introduced in 2012 and 2013 respectively.134
